Bone Repair Scheme

Progentix' scientists have shown that the choice of scaffold (biomaterial technology) is crucial for successful bone tissue engineering and they have furthermore shown proof-of-concept in pre-clinical studies.

Bone formation after 12-week intramuscular implantation in goats of non-osteoinductive HA (A, no bone formation), non-osteoinductive HA with in vitro expanded goat bone marrow stromal cells (B, no bone formation), osteoinductive BCP (C, small amount of bone formation) and osteoinductive BCP with in vitro expanded goat bone marrow stromal cells (D, ample bone formation).
