Since the early 1990’s, scientists of Progentix have shown that a unique group of synthetic materials exist that have osteoinductive properties. These materials can now be reproducibly synthesized and are excellent tissue engineering scaffolds when combined with adult stem cells or growth factors, but also function extremely well as synthetic bone grafts for the repair of bone defects.
Potential uses for Progentix’ synthetic osteoinductive scaffolds:
- Bone grafts (filling bone defects in cranial-maxillofacial, spinal and orthopaedic sites)
- Tissue engineering scaffolds
- Research purpose
